Lesley

Lesley has been in the fitness industry for more than 25 years. Over this time she has taught at various health clubs and centres in and around Surrey teaching a range of classes. More recently Lesley’s focus has been teaching Barre and Pilates classes. Both of these classes require a strong emphasis working the core, with alignment and precision giving you a clear understanding of how your body works.

Inner Strength Barre is a ballet inspired all over body workout class open for everyone no matter age, gender or fitness background, so don’t worry if you don’t know your pile from your demi point you’ll have fun finding out.

Inner Strength Pilates is a mind body class where you work at your own pace. Inner Strength Pilates aims to improve posture, help reduce back pain, increase flexibility, strengthen your core and improve your wellbeing.

Lesley is dedicated to teaching technically competent classes that are positive and challenging, energetic and motivational and have you coming back for more. Lesley holds the following accreditations; BarreConcept International Instructor Certification, Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Mat Work, Level 3 Award in Designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes. She is a member of REPs Register of Exercise Professionals and continues to develop professionally.

Lesley is creator and founder of Inner Strength Barre and Pilates Academy which is now based within Yoga Ananda. As well as being a Barre and Pilates instructor she also tutors and assesses for a range of fitness programmes for group exercise classes.

Lesley instructs the following:
  • Barre Floorwork class
  • "Barre Floorwork class is a non stop toning class set to the beat of the music. A warm up and mobiliser section starts the class on the floor and then strength exercises are performed in a variety of positions. Pilates principles are combined with fitness and ballet moves on the mat. The choreographed routine increases stamina. This is similar to a Barre class but the exercises are done on a mat instead of standing up at the Barre. A fun and challenging workout for all ages"
